Growing up on the central coast, Kyle has always been fascinated with agriculture, particularly as it relates to the wine industry. At 17, he started working after school for Presidio Winery in Lompoc, where for five years, he helped in a variety of roles – farming, winemaking, tasting room, and wholesale sales. It was here that he fell in love with the industry and particularly Presidio’s focus at the time – certified biodynamic vineyard (which Kyle has championed at Epoch for some time now).
While studying at Fresno State in their Enology program, he interned for a harvest in Pomerol, France with Bordeaux consultant, Alain Raynaud.
