At Epoch Estate Wines we are committed to protecting your privacy.  All order information is encrypted to ensure maximum security.  To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, Epoch Estate Wines has in place appropriate physical and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect.  Epoch Estate Wines will not sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to third parties.

Experience Policies


Picnics

Should you wish to take in the surroundings with a picnic, you are invited to do so in our outdoor seating areas.  We kindly ask that all food stays outside so that it does not interfere with our delicate wine aromas.  On that same note, we recommend that you enjoy your picnic before or after your tasting experience, but you are more than welcome to enjoy a glass or bottle of Epoch with your food if you so desire.

Dogs

We love our K9 friends! For the safety of our guests and furry companions, we ask that they are well behaved and stay on a leash for the duration of your tasting. There is ample napping room and water bowls on our outdoor patios.  Please note: We have a strict no dog policy for all food & wine events.  Please review the event guidelines when booking. Thank you!

Groups

For groups of nine (9) or more, please call or email us to schedule your visit.  We are available via email, events@epochwines.com, or on the phone, 805.424.1935. A $50 nonrefundable tasting fee per person will be charged prior to your reservation. Arriving later than 30-minutes is considered a no-show. Thank you for your understanding!

Wine Club Policies


  • We ask that you join for at least two club releases.
  • Cancellations of memberships need to be submitted with an emailed notice seven days prior to the next shipment.
  • We request that shipments are picked up within three months (90 days) of order date. After that time, you will be charged a holding fee of $50 a month every 30 days until you pick up your wine or opt to ship it instead.  Shipping and tax (where applicable) will be charged to the card on file.
  • Please note that any adjustments made to your shipment while in transit will be subject to an additional charge per package. If the carrier isn’t successful at delivering your shipment and the wine is returned to us, then we will charge a $50 reshipment fee.
  • We cannot ship to the following states: DE, KY, MS, RI, UT.

 

Shipping Policies


We are currently able to ship wine to ALL states excluding the following:  DE, KY, MS, RI, UT.  If your state is listed, please see our alternate shipping policy below.

If you are looking for release-specific ship dates and pickup information, please refer to our Club page.

We plan to only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure your wine arrives at your doorstep within the same week.  If you would like a specific ship date, please indicate it in your order notes or call us at 805.237.7575.  Your order may be placed on a “weather hold” if the weather conditions are not conducive to shipping wine.  We will send you an email notification when your wine ships.

For all states, you have the option of selecting one of three service levels (Standard Overnight, 2nd Day, Ground).  While most orders will ship via UPS, if you would like for us to use a specific carrier please let us know in your order notes before you checkout of the store.  Please note, for AZ, CA, and NV, you have an additional option of GSO Ground (next day).

Please let us know if you have any shipping changes that are made after your order is placed, so that we can update your shipping information before your order is shipped. Adult Signature Required at Delivery

Wine may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years old.  The person ordering and receiving the delivery must be at least 21 and may be required to sign for the wine and show evidence of age.

Alternate Shipping Policy

While we attempt to hold licensing in all possible states, we hope you understand that there are a select few states we are unable to ship to.  If you reside in a state where we do not presently ship, please be sure to choose ‘CA’ as your ‘Shipping’ state in your shopping cart so it will allow you to proceed to checkout.  Below is a brief overview of your options:

  1. Ship to a friend, associate or family member located in a state where we presently ship.
  2. Leave us a note in the order notes explaining your situation.
  • After your order is placed, we will be in contact with you to work through the details.

Return Policy


Epoch Estate Wines is committed to the production of high-quality handcrafted wines and your complete satisfaction is our goal.  We utilize the best quality shipping companies available.  Please inspect all packages as soon as they are received.  Should any bottle(s) be broken during shipping, please contact us at orders@epochwines.com or 805.237.7575 within 48 hours of receipt of your package(s), so that we can initiate a claim with the shipping company.  Please keep the original package(s) and its contents exactly as you found them if at all possible.  We will arrange to have the wine picked up in most cases.  If you are using a Third Party Shipper to send your wine please have them inspect it upon delivery.  Understand that if the broken product cannot be retrieved, we cannot receive compensation for the loss.  Returns cannot be processed after 10 days.

All Epoch wines are stored in a temperature-controlled environment and are in excellent condition upon leaving the fulfillment center.  Any return claim due to a defect in the product will be addressed on a case-by-case basis, and a replacement bottle may be offered if one is available or, if not, another may be substituted.  In this instance, keep the bottle, its unused contents, and the cork.  Wine should not be returned without prior approval from Epoch Estate Wines.  Please address all concerns of this nature to orders@epochwines.com and make sure to include customer name and address, date of purchase, product name and vintage, and reason for concern.

Temperature extremes can pose a threat to the overall quality of the wine.  To this end, we do our best to monitor the weather and will delay shipping in known extremes of temperature whenever possible.  However, we cannot assume liability for wines that are overheated or frozen if weather changes occur during transit.
