Like our Paderewski bottling, this wine is undoubtedly Grenache, but York Mountain’s influences produce a much different expression of the variety. Your senses will be moving at super speed, trying to keep up with the mixture of fruit, spice, savory, and floral elements which are omnipresent in this wine. A cool climate, savory spice mixture of white pepper, roasted meats, and bouquet garni enshrine deep fruit notes of bing cherry, blackberry, and black raspberry. Ripe navel and candied orange rind, red roses, and powdered sugar weave into the mix. The cooler climate allows for a longer growing season, reflected in more evolved, more complex tannins that elongate and expand the palate. A touch of leather, graphite, and iron linger on the finish, which is long and energetic. – Jordan Fiorentini

Turn up the spice and enjoy incredibly diverse flavors as the 2019 York Mountain Grenache takes the grape to the next level with notes of fresh black and white pepper, vibrant raspberry, bing cherry, dark soil, coastal chaparral, rosemary, black licorice, rose and orange oils, and roasted coffee. Spice, herbs, and earth notes encircle the outer rings of the palate as elegant, ripe red fruits concentrate on the mid palate and flow into chewy, long-grain tannins at its finish. This wine is a rare example of how serious, graceful, and mouth-filling a Grenache can be. – Jordan Fiorentini
