2019 Rosé
62% Mourvèdre | 21% Grenache | 17% Syrah
Paderewski Vineyard, Catapult Vineyard and York Mountain Vineyard
Aged four months sur lie in stainless steel barrels | 1,240 cases | $30
With delicate notes of strawberry, hay, honeysuckle, crisp peach, and sweet lemon/lime, Mourvèdre makes a huge impression at 62% of this irresistible MGS Rhône Rosé blend. As the aromas continue to evolve and the wine warms in your glass, this rosé soars across the palate in a yin/yang balance between fruit, flowers, wet stones, saline and zingy acid. This is a wine that we crave all day long.
2019 Extended Age White
47% Grenache Blanc | 42% Viognier | 11% Roussanne
Paderewski Vineyard, Catapult Vineyard and York Mountain Vineyard
Aged 12 months in oak foudre | 650 cases | $40
This ‘winter white’ is the same blend as our earlier release of 2019 Epoch White, but with 8 more months of age in a French oak cask (foudre) and no filtration. The additional time in wood yields a richer wine, but with delicacy and great finesse. Texture is heightened, acidity is softened, yet its minerality and freshness remain. Aromas are other-worldly, jumping out of the glass initially with ripe bosc pear, key lime pie, vanilla bean, wet rock, and citrus blossom. With air, the wine softens more, becomes creamier, and flavors develop into white peach, honey suckle, sweet ginger, and lemon curd.
2016 Veracity
51% Mourvèdre | 36% Grenache | 13% Syrah
Paderewski Vineyard and Catapult Vineyard
Aged 18 months in 36% concrete tulip and the balance in French oak barrels and puncheons (26% new) | 870 cases | $70
In our game-changing 2016 Veracity, Mourvèdre outnumbers Grenache (51 to 36%) as this blend’s new leading lady. Time and time again, Mourvèdre adds elegance and gravitas to our beloved GSM, and it has finally tipped the scales. Ephermeral, smooth yet lively, the 2016 Veracity offers flavors of red raspberries, honeydew melon, rhubarb, grilled herbs, lavender, fennel, navel orange and forest dew. The wine’s texture, minerality, and acid are beautifully in balance, creating a remarkable weight and energy on the palate.

Vinpression2016 Estate Blend
58% Syrah | 19% Mourvèdre | 17% Grenache | 6% Tempranillo
Paderewski Vineyard and Catapult Vineyard
Aged 17 months in French oak barrels and puncheons (36% new) | 1,204 cases | $60
Seriously sophisticated and rich in all the right places, the 2016 Estate Blend is one to enjoy in its youth but also to lay down for quite some time. Aromas of black fruits, roasted meats, dried tobacco and sage give way to a chewy, long mouthfeel, layered with black cherry, black licorice, graphite, vanilla and a dark chocolate texture. The brilliant acidity sends the wine singing high throughout its full and structured palate.

Vinpression2016 Ingenuity
54% Syrah | 20% Petite Sirah | 16% Mourvèdre | 10% Grenache
Paderewski Vineyard and Catapult Vineyard
Aged 19 months in French oak barrels and puncheons (75% new) | 1,003 cases | $70
The myriad of juicy, herbal and reductive aromas at first sniff are indicative of the four varieties that make up the 2016 Ingenuity bottling – Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvèdre and Grenache. The healthy dollop of Petite Sirah in this year’s blend, 20%, gives great palate delineation and more seriousness to the blend. Broad flavors of red & blue juicy fruits, eucalyptus, white pepper, fresh herb garden, rose petals, black tar, and dried meats travel across the front to mid palate.
